Ideation

I found my initial inspiration from the wave of very technical garments that had high utility, versatility, and dystopian-like qualities. Although this style translates well into sportswear, I evaluated its compatibility with golf wear.

A common look on the course was overstuffed pockets. Here I propose a pocket that isn't placed on the curve of the rear. It prevents three problems; appearance, easy access, and an unrestricted swing.

It was important to understand our target consumer. In reality, the average and professional golfers don't dress in very fashion-forward ways. From here, I grounded my design in golf and what the athletes actually need. I made sure that the form followed function.

I found womenswear to be a driving force in pushing golf fashion forward. The use of UPF sleeves and mock necks had a similar place in high fashion, so I gathered inspiration to create a functional uniform that works on the course and is still fashion-forward.
